Discharge
You must be accompanied home by a responsible adult and continue to have an adult with you for the remainder of the day and overnight. When you are discharged you will be given instructions regarding post surgery care.
After the surgery and for the next 24 hours you may still be affected by the anaesthetic. This may slow your reaction time and affect your judgement. During this time you must not:
- Drive a car
- Operate machinery
- Drink alcohol
- Care for young children
- Conduct business
- Sign any documents
